Debit card

The account provider issues a payment card that is linked to the customer’s account. The amount of each transaction executed with the payment card is debited directly and in full from the customer’s account.

Account providers offer debit cards under various product names. Girocards are a widely used type of debit card.

Major credit card providers also offer debit cards.
