Payment account

A payment account is a current account that you use to carry out payment transactions. BaFin’s account comparison refers to them as both “payment accounts” and ”accounts”. The basic payment account under the Payment Accounts Act (Zahlungskontengesetz – ZKG) is also a payment account.

The comparison website does not cover other types of accounts, such as business accounts or call deposit accounts.
